The Exploratorium’s brand is extraordinary. The institution isn’t simply a science museum; it is in a category by itself. With a focus on art, human perception and science, a Center for Art & Inquiry, a Teacher Institute and Institute for Inquiry, they bust out of the science museum mold.
The challenge was to synthesize and define the principles that guide the organization’s design and communication efforts. By working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional leaders, the solution brought together many voices and distilled these down to a series of concepts and language that will serve to guide the organization going forward.
